Emmanuel Vigne, nominated as GRICS President and CEO - GRICS

At a special meeting this afternoon, the Board of Directors appointed Mr. Emmanuel Vigne as GRICS President and Chief Executive Officer. He will take office on Monday, June 10. To facilitate the transition, Ms. Lorraine Mayer will remain with him until June 28, 2010, as Senior Advisor.

Vice-President Service, Implantations and Content Development (SIEC) at GRICS since 2017, Emmanuel Vigne has 20 years of experience in information technology, including more than 10 years as a manager.

Over the course of his career, he has demonstrated his ability to ensure a fair balance between organizational and information technology issues. He has always demonstrated a clear customer orientation. Through his various experiences, he has had the opportunity to lead large multidisciplinary teams and has distinguished himself particularly in change management and management of large-scale projects.

Information related to the succession of Emmanuel Vigne as head of SIEC will be communicated in the coming weeks.

The Board of Directors took the opportunity to recognize the work of Lorraine Mayer, the current President and CEO who will retire in a few days. Ms. Mayer joined GRICS on February 9, 2015. Among other things, she contributed to the evolution of GRICS through the implementation of its 2016-2021 strategic plan and the considerable role she played in the partnership between GRICS, school boards and MEHE on the administrative solutions replacement project, whose opportunity file is currently being prepared. We wish her an excellent retirement!

We congratulate Emmanuel Vigne on his new position and are convinced that he will be able to pursue the transformation of GRICS and successfully carry out the strategic projects underway.

Replacement as Chairman of the Board of Directors

In addition, following the announcement of his retirement as Director General of the Commission scolaire de la Seigneurie-des-Milles-Iles, Mr. Jean-François Lachance resigned as Chairman of the GRICS Board of Directors. At the Annual General Meeting on May 30, the school board delegates endorsed the nomination of Caroline Dupré as President to complete Mr. Lachance’s term, which runs until the spring of 2020.

She has been a director of GRICS since 2013 and a member of the Board’s Subcommittee on Governance, Ethics and Human Resources since 2016. She is also a member of the Governance Committee for the school boards Administrative Solutions Replacement Project.
